LEVSMS — FOCUS SESSION ANCHOR
Everything Codex did re: SMS — inventory, the Codex→Claude boundary, live state, open loops
What it is: Briefing / focus-session anchor (the single source so the Codex SMS work never gets re-discovered)

INDEX
1. Codex's SMS footprint — the launch scaffold (18-file packet + site + router skeleton)
2. The Codex→Claude boundary — scaffold (built, never live) vs the live production router
3. Live state today — what is actually running on 2026-05-26
4. Open loops & real risk — the unverified-A2P / no-LLC gap + two parallel marketing tracks
5. Gate status — Gate 1 (10 returning users) is the only unlock

1 · Codex's SMS footprint — the launch scaffold

Codex (the parallel Codex CLI sessions, ~May 5–19) owned the go-to-market scaffold for Malca Yenta / LevSMS. All artifacts commit under the shared Hook Street git identity, so they're identified by self-reference + content, not author. Three bodies of work:

Body of work Location What it locked
Launch packet (18 files) docs/malca-yenta/launch-packet/ Entity (DE LLC), Twilio A2P resubmission, carrier outreach, domain/site, locked decisions, agent action board
Compliance website levsms/site/ (was levsms-site/) index/privacy/terms/styles → live at levsms.com on Netlify (built to clear the Twilio A2P review)
Router scaffold levsms/router/ (was levsms-router-apps-script/) Original TwiML doPost skeleton + DEPLOY_CHECKLIST + TWILIO_CONSOLE_CAPTURE + 6-tab sheet-template/ CSVs

Codex's locked decisions (from DECISIONS_LOCKED.md + CONTEXT.md): legal entity Malca Yenta Networks LLC (Delaware, single-member, Sam), registered agent Harvard Business Services, business address 589 Hook Street, Valley Stream NY 11581, public brand LevSMS on levsms.com (bought on Namecheap 5/6), support support@levsms.com, Netlify project levsms. Raw Twilio SIDs (rejected campaign/brand/msg-service) live in STATUS_2026-05-13_LEVSMS.md + TWILIO_NEW_CAMPAIGN_FINAL_FIELDS.md — not reprinted here.

Codex→Claude handoff: outputs/2026-05-19_handoff_codex-to-claude-code.md documents Codex's role and recommended the next focus go to the action-spine. (That doc is mostly BOS/mortgage cleanup; its SMS value is the role-documentation.)

2 · The Codex→Claude boundary
Who What Status
Codex
(May 5–19)
GTM scaffold: legal entity, Twilio compliance surface, website, router skeleton, sheet templates Designed / Built — never went live. STATUS_2026-05-13: "No production LevSMS SMS router code was found outside documentation and the static compliance site."
Claude
(May 26)
Live production router — levsms/router/Code.js, 2,467 lines, M1→M4 Deployed (@31) + verified against real 5/26 traffic. levsms repo split out fresh, so its history starts at 5d5b7f0 LevSMS M1 (Claude's), not Codex's scaffold commits.

The master architecture levsms/docs/CONTEXT.md (PART 1–25, the Z's-World-critiqued spec) is the canonical design both worked from: 6 operational gates, the trust-philosophy constitution (11 never-do rules), and the data-integrity framework. Both built to it; neither "owns" it.

3 · Live state today (2026-05-26)
4 · Open loops & the real risk
Loop State / bumper Owner
A2P registration unverified Service is LIVE but Twilio campaign status is "Sam-reported connected, never console-verified." Running SMS on an unverified A2P registration is the #1 risk. Bumper: none (silent) — needs one. Sam (console capture)
LLC never filed / EIN never pulled Codex prepped the full DE filing + EIN worksheet; never executed. Live site footer says "operated by Sam Treitel / sole prop." Decision deferred: file now vs run pilot on sole-prop. Sam (+ counsel)
Two parallel marketing tracks Your new world kit (world bible / campaign atlas / art prompts) vs Codex-era MARKETING_PROMPTS + COMIC_STORYBOARD + AD_GENERATOR_PROMPT. Not reconciled into one campaign system. Claude (next session)
levsms/ uncommitted work World kit work in the nested repo (docs/world/, outputs/, README) not committed there yet. Claude (commit when ready)
5 · Gate status — the only real unlock

Per CONTEXT.md PART 16: Gate 1 = 10 distinct phone numbers texting zmanim/weather and returning at least once. Until Gate 1 passes: no new features, no new tabs, no marketing spend. The router is built and verified; the website is live; the architecture is locked. The binding constraint is no longer engineering — it's real returning users in 11581. Everything else (LevRide, premium, second ZIP, monetization) is gated behind later gates and is explicitly out of scope now.

6 · Next moves (the compressed 3)
  1. De-risk the live service — Sam captures the Twilio A2P console status (brand + campaign + messaging-service SID + linked sender + inbound webhook) so "reported connected" becomes "verified." This is the one item that's a live legal/compliance risk while real users text in.
  2. Decide LLC-now vs pilot-on-sole-prop — one yes/no. If "later," confirm the live site footer correctly identifies the current sole-prop operator (Twilio reviewers check consistency). Codex's filing packet is ready to execute the moment Sam says go.
  3. Point the work at Gate 1, not more building — reconcile the two marketing tracks into one tester-recruitment kit, then use the save-first / next-minyan / Shabbos-clarity angles to get the first 10 returning North Woodmere users. Building is done; recruiting is the job.
