What START is built on + how it looks

① The Foundation — what START is actually built on

RECOMMENDED

Cloudflare HTML pages (where you already are)

WhatSTART is an HTML page on ops.hookstreetservices.com, reading your live sheet through the ops-api Worker you already have.

EffortLow — the engine (home-cockpit) + Worker + sheet all exist. Wire them.

WallsCloudflare Access — per-person login by path (Mildred can't reach your pages). Already how the portal is gated.

Cost$0 — already running.

RiskSheet as database has limits at scale, but you're 1–3 users. Fine for years.

THE OTHER OPTION

The Supabase app (command-center) — already built, never deployed

WhatA real Next.js + Supabase database app with Sam-owner / Mildred-assistant roles ALREADY coded. Sitting unused.

EffortHigher — deploy Supabase + Netlify (~30–60 min setup), then migrate your sheet data into it, then maintain a second system.

WallsStrongest — real database row-level security, real user accounts. Built for exactly this.

Cost$0 on free tiers (for now).

RiskA second database to keep in sync with your sheet/bot. More power you may not need yet = more to maintain + break.

My honest recommendation

Start on Cloudflare HTML now — it reuses everything you already have, ships this week, and is plenty for 1–3 people. Keep the Supabase app in your back pocket for when you actually sell this to others (multi-tenant) or outgrow the sheet. Building the heavy app first = the exact "engine with no plane" trap. Ship the simple home, get a dollar moving, upgrade the foundation only when scale forces it.

Light is the default (the docs are right — easiest to read, and what Mildred/Chanie need). Steel/dark for the stock + MIS surfaces (you liked it, and a trading screen earns the dark "terminal" feel). One house system, two skins by context — not a free-for-all.
