Youth Money Map
What It Is
Youth Money Map is a simple private Google Sheets-based financial literacy setup for a 12-14 year old and their parents, especially around bar mitzvah / bat mitzvah money, gifts, early earning, giving, saving, and spending.
It is not account access, bookkeeping, investment management, or financial advice. Sam helps the family set up a clear money map, teaches the child how to use it, and checks in lightly so the system does not die after the first excited week.
Core Promise
After one setup, the family has a calm place to answer:
- How much money came in?
- What was already given, saved, spent, or promised?
- What does the child want to buy?
- What does the parent need to approve?
- What is the child learning about responsibility?
- What should happen before the next check-in?
Best First Customer
- A parent who wants their child to learn money responsibility without giving anyone access to bank accounts.
- A family around bar mitzvah / bat mitzvah season with gifts coming in.
- A child who is old enough to enter simple rows but young enough that parents still need guardrails.
- A family that likes Google Sheets and wants something personal, not an app subscription.

Why This Can Sell
Parents do not need another app. They need a trusted person to create a safe, simple structure and then gently keep the family honest.
The value is not the sheet alone. The value is:
- The child learns by doing.
- The parent stays in control.
- No bank passwords are shared.
- Gift money does not vanish into vague memory.
- The family gets language for money conversations before habits harden.
